    Improving Hi-Power Trigger...

Just ordered one of the israli Hipower surplus guns, curious to what hi-power owners have done to lighten up the trigger pull on these.

The ones I have handled have had decent triggers on them, would like to get it down into the 3-4 pound range.

    Thanks

I don't know if this is true about later HiPowers but early ones are a little tricky when it comes to trigger jobs. Don't just send it to anyone but find someone who really knows HiPowers. It's really easy to mess up this gun with a lousy trigger job.

84? Then it's a first gen hi power. You definitely want a good smith on it. I learned that lesson the hard way.

              Something

Something that you can do yourself that will improve the trigger is remove the magazine safety. That's all I did to mine. (assuming you have a mag safety). I did have some hi vis adjustable sites; I had Irv Stone make me a Barstow Barrel and I installed some Pachmayr grips. She runs perfect with her 13 round mags. The perfect Condition One Weapon.

Post some pics when you get her.!

On a first gen BHP out of the box you'll want to get rid of the magazine safety, get a proper trigger job and have it fixed so the mags drop free.

Ill check them out depending on how it is out of the box. I was lookin more DYI stuff at first to see If I could sneak by. Im coming from an XD trigger, so anything is an improvment ( besides glocks :P)

That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. Dosen't show up on your airport X-ray machines, here, and it cost more than you make in a month.

Well I should be getting her around the end of the month, my ffl is out of town untill the 28th. It gives me time to get my 9mm reloading gear set up. Just have to move my .45set up over to make room for the other press.

Can't you use the same press with different dies?

I need to get a new priming station + feed tubes for the lee 1000. the .45acp has a diffrent case feed system, different primer system, and a new shell holder.

Not real expensive, but I have 2 extra turret presses sitting around, which will work till I get the extra parts.
