Due to it's popularity, I noticed that it is really getting hard to find one in stock.

ditto what speed said. also, are you set on the gi? if you want to check out other ria models, turner's probably has the best selection around.

That NIB RIA GI spec 1911 in Arizona might be about $40-50 cheaper. So I would think $480 in your neighborhood is a fair price.

I ordered my RIA Tactical from Buds for about $450. Find a good FFL with low transfer fees and your good to go! There are even better prices if you look.

Hope you find the one you want, cause I sure love mine!

I don't think you can beat this:

Even with all the fees it comes in at a good price.

If I were you, I would spend a little more money get the RIA Tactical over any of the other models. It comes with most of the bells and whistles of more expensive high end fancy shmancy custom 1911's for a 1/4 of the price. For $30 I added a short STI trigger, a Cylinder & Slide Sear spring, and a 17 lb hammer spring. This dropped my trigger pull to about 3 lbs and my gunsmith said that the trigger pull was good enough not to warrant any sort of trigger job.

I believe that as far as RIA's go, finish doesnt matter. They are not differentiated on the list. (hope i spealt that right)

If you can't find one locally check out Sarco Inc. They have the 1911 GI for $349.95 and the Tactical M911A1 for only $405.99

If you don't mind the drive or have any other reason to get out to the IE there are a couple of dealers that only charge $55-60 to do a transfer; and that INCLUDES the DROS fee.
                              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
