We can give you all sorts of options as to which ones WE prefer, but the only problem with this is that what suits us may not suit you. The only way for you to determine which polymer pistol, be it a Glock, HK, whatever, is to go to your local range and rent a few of them and see which you think fits you best.Comment

The above are correct, just depends on which one you like more, I Love my 1911's, and the XD is familiar after my first love, so I go XD. My brothers all like their Glocks, and I'd own one, but, I don't see a need, there is an XD for every occasion.Go with leather or go home

I also say go with the Glock, the 34 is a good choice if you want the longer sight radius and the longer barrel.

The OP really needs to go shoot them. I was dead set on an XD9 until I shot one and hated it (and I'm a very pro XD45 person). That began my Glock obsession. Everyone's different, but after being a highly pro XD fan my conclusion is the Glock is a superior firearm.Comment
