I can drive 20 minutes from my house and buy a NIB HK45 in exempt form for < $1300. I've bought an off roster Colt from Gunbroker and had it transferred in exempt form. You just have to be willing to do some legwork.
      WTS all BNIB: Colt S70 Repro, HK45c, Gen4 G19

As far as the MPA goes, I have seen them in California for the same prices as out of state. The Cow Palace gun show isn't a good measuring stick.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Don't hate the law of Supply & Demand

Just get pissed that the CA gov is artificially driving up prices by constricting supply

              sometimes you have to buy

Sometimes you go into a gun store and a off list gun you thoaght about getting one day is on consignment and if its gone the next day if you don't act. I passed on alot of nice smiths because they were always available and now they are hard to get.
