Was setting some .40 ammo out to load into my P226R mags and noticed one of the rounds would not sit flat. I looked at the primer side and noticed:



I guess that is why you look at your ammo. One for the reject pile.

ive picked up a few 100 WWB a while back.. had 3 bad primers out of 500 and 4 with crushed/mashed casings..

I bet its from the increased demand.....Churn it out faster, quality will suffer a bit.

Ive had a few bad wwb rounds.....The federal though....Never an issue.

Found a UMC .40 round few weeks ago that was discrepant. The top of the bullet was nearly flush with the lip of the case. I don't even know how they compressed the powder that much, unless there was no powder in there to begin with. Never opened it up, I just turned it in to my range master.

I saw a bullet seated backward from a new factory Winchester 45 Auto box.
