* What year was the P95 release?
Not sure if you're asking when Ruger Started making them or when i got it, anyway i bought my P95 in 2010.

* Would you or have you taken your Ruger pistol and ran it on a competition course such as IPSC? I would but i cant find any website that sales skill....

* How much do you like your pistol and would you recommend it?
I love my P95 it's jammed one time in about 500 or so rounds and that was at the end of a 200 round stint.i am looking at getting a G17 for no other reason then i just want one, that or an SR9.

* Can you compare it to other type of 9mm pistols?
I've fired a few other 9mm pistols such as a C9 an a G17 and i love the SA/DA trigger on the P95 and the rate at which you can get shots off (just for fun) is awesome.

* How reliable is it?
1FTE so far and i think it had more to do with me then anything.
* What are the main problems to these pistols?
I like the grip better on the C9 as well as the G17, I would also like better rear sights but i've found them just haven't bought them yet. other then that no gripes.

* Pros and Cons? Not as many after market parts as other firearms but other then sights i couldn't think of anything to add (other then lights and other do dads but it has a rail for that). Pro's it's a tank.
* Accuracy?
The P95 is a better shot then i will ever be, but what i do aim at i hit.

I am considering a Ruger SR9 or P95 semi auto pistol. Why? Because I have condense my firearms limited to only American companies. I know there are other 9mm semi-auto American companies out there, but Ruger seems to be an outcast.

I would like suggestions and opinions from Ruger owners "past or present",
If you never owned or shot a Ruger semi-auto pistol, please don't response.

Mine is a P-85.

No for IDPA and the Steel Challenge I use a 1911.
* How much do you like your pistol and would you recommend it?
Very much and yes

Comparing a P-85 to a Sig P-228 Well.........
* How reliable is it?
Never had a malfunction with over 5000 rounds, stopped counting.

God awful DA trigger pull.
* Pros and Cons?
Goes bang every time the trigger is pulled.
Big, bulky and butt ugly
* Accuracy?

I'm in a process of purchasing a P95 from a LE buddy for $200. He and another buddy both owns said pistol. I would say 90+% positive comments from both of them. The negative is the trigger pull but both of them are 1911 owners so go figure.

I've shot P85 and P90 in the past via gun rentals and really have nothing negative to say about them. I've been a double action revolver shooter for a long time now so the DA transition to SA pull does not bother me much.

I'm looking forward to being the second owner of that P95. Most of the comments I've read not only here but other forums that the P series pistols are build like a tank and pretty much digest most of the different bullet profile feed in them.
