I know it's a long shot...but...is it possible to get a supressor in california? I saw and ad somewhere for a walther p22 w/ a supressor for like $500 and it got me thinking, that would be so much fun for backyard shooting. Just ultimate cool factor. Somebody please tell me they have gotten approval from the state and the DOJ for a supressor so I can apply for one. Huh? Anyone? Thanks...Tim

The Walther P-22 commonly used to mount a suppressor to is considered an "assault weapon" in CA. Hence, the reason why Walther sells the P-22CA for CA residents.

Slip on the MFI fake can, and tighten the set-screws. It does "mark" the barrel a little bit...

The MFI fake can is designed to be mounted with set-screws and NOT to the barrel threads.

You'd still have to buy an aftermarket barrel that is longer than the stock barrel for 95% of the pistols on the market... is it worth ~$150 to you to have a fake suppresor on your pistol? No, no it is not.

We have 10 acres full of bunnies and squirrels just asking for me to blast them with a .22 and not alert all their little rodent buddies! With the amount of paperwork needed to obtain one in other states the govt. shouldn't be worried about the BG's getting a hold of them (yeah right).
