Hi Point 9mm?

My brother just aquired one of these and I don't know anything about them, I was hoping you guys could fill me in on it. Good and bad or possible upgrades that are needed.

I've put about 800 rounds down my wifes C9 (use to be mine till she took it) and it shot just great for me after i polished the feed ramp. I will say this with the C9 sporting a heavy slide it is real picky when it comes to limp wristing (just like any top heavy pistol) and i think this is why some people have had jams with them more then anything. Also Hipoints CS reps are some of the best in the biz, so if you ever do have any problem no matter what they will be able to help you.

it gets the job done and it's a great way to get into the sport.

I had one a long time ago. I beat the crap out of it. I shot thousands of rounds through it. I never cleaned it. Never oiled it. Never worried about it. To me it was a cheap 9MM. When I was done shooting it, I just thew it behind my truck seat. It never failed to work. I took a bud mudding one day, and we let off a couple boxes of ammo. He offered more than what I paid for it, so I sold it to him (he still has it and shoots it). IMO great bang for the buck. I would recommend one.

I would if I could but my brother lives in Phoenix. He also doesn't have a magazine for it. Some guy owed him some money and payed him off with it.

i own 2 hi points. one in 9mm and .380 acp. they might be heavy and ugly but i like how it shoots and how compact it is. the 2 problems i have had with the 9mm is ftf with steel cased ammo and after i bought a new mag i had to tweak the mag lips alittle.
