    unless you gf/wife is a mechanical engineer or mechanically inclined, i don't think that it's either a necessity or reality that she will "really know" how a single action works. better to teach her trigger discipline and firearms safety and you'll probably never have an accident, barring some weird mechanical issue.

    btw, unless you meant a p2000 v2/lem or a uspc v5-6, you're advocating a da/sa pistol, which runs counter to your avoidance statement.
