Moving to CA, what handguns should I get before moving?

Just found out that I am moving to Bakersfield in about 60 days. Having limitations on what guns I can purchase will be new to me. So, what should I buy now before I make the move? Any suggestions on what you guys wish you could buy in CA?

Just go to Gun Broker and search "no CA sales".

      All of those guns

It would be a very good investment to buy a bunch of STI frames, H&K 45's and P30's, Springfield XDm's and Gen 4 Glocks. They are all "off-list" and command large premiums in California.

First thing you need to do is to change that username to Lakersfan!

Ignore some of the advice above with hidden messages.

Do not buy a fleet of handguns to re-sell for huge profits.

If you became unhappy with one or two and want to get rid of them later after coming to CA, that's OK. Buying 20 Gen 4 Glocks to later resell at $100 profit in CA each ain't kosher.

Remember to not bring in any hicap mags (those holding over 10rds) that you did not own or possess within CA before 2000.

Don't bring in Taurus Judges (SBS in CA) or semiauto pistols with threaded barrels (= assault weapons).

                        Please do not suggest this.

It is illegal to purchase off-roster guns prior to moving into California with the intent of resale here.
