Anyone ever send a gun frame via USPS?

      The question that should really be asked is that if you ship a gun broke down into small parts marked "machine parts" or "spares" etc as UPS ground for $8-$10 like normal, have you broke a law or only violated UPS policy?

      ON EDIT- cracks me up that everybody is trying to skirt committing a federal mail crime, but god forbid if you lie to the person at UPS about the contents of your box. I'd lie to UPS waaaay before USPS.

        It does to me. USPS policy prohibits them from giving legal advice. I mailed ATF a couple of years ago asking about the handgun frame issue and they responded advising me to contact USPS for their opinion.

        See how government works?

          Yes, I have received a handgun frame which was sent USPS before. BTW, it was not the receiver, just a frame. In other words, it was not the "firearm" portion of the handgun. It was just a frame.
