    I have a few old pistol buried in the safe. Star S with german WWII airforce.Another spanish in 22lr. Enjoy them but finding mags and parts is work. Post this again for the OP

      Yeah, I have that link. Guess what? I just managed to disassemble it, since this thread prodded me to do some extra tinkering. I pushed harder on the slide, and lo and behold, got it off. Once I got it off, I found the problem - one of the vertical pins on the slide was pushed too far down. In fact, both vertical pins on the slide can be easily pushed back and forth (no good). The reason I worked now is that when I shot it, both pins were pushed up.

      Thus the new field stripping technique was born - shoot before disassembly

      Do you ever get rid of those old guns? Inquiring minds want to know.
