    Spanish Ruby Pistol

Does anyone know the value of one of these? It's in fairy decent condition, 32 ACP, original magazine is with it also. Will post pictures before midnight tonight

About $100-125, if that's what I think it is. There were many different companies making those. Well, technically, making the clones of a clone. Pictures would help.

            There you go:

You got the original mag and grips, so it'll probably be $150-175, depending on the internals. Hang on to that mag, they were hand-fitted, so it fits this particular gun, and some other similar mag may not.

scroll down about a third of the page, you will see this with a listed price (may be a little high) and a nice chunk of info.

And yes, it's a cool little gun. I just got a "Venus" (yours is "Vesta") one for $100. Unfortunately, none of the 3 mags it came with were original to the gun, so I have to hand-fit them. Otherwise it's pretty much a single-shot handgun with spare rounds in the grip.

If you ever decide to part with yours, let me know, I'm into small, old, and odd guns.

Heh, now I do know you have one

No, I haven't. It's a PITA to take apart, I didn't get past removing the barrel and the guide rod. Something gets stuck when I try to remove the slide, and despite many people on the forums telling to use force, it seem to require the amount of force I'm reluctant to use on an old handgun.

Basically, the procedure is - remove the barrel, remove the guide rod, and push the slide forward while the safety is in the fire position. However, something gets stuck there when the slide is about 1/4" forward.

I don't have your Ruby, its a 25acp copy of a colt era. Will find the link. Pretty sure the barrels work the same. Sorry if it a thread jack.

Give this one a look. Will pm when I find the exact method I used. Something like turh barrel left/pull/turn right. Don't quote me . Took alittle time goofing with it, then it just came apart.

Yep, that's how you get the barrel out. The guide rod, you just unscrew it. It's removing the slide where I had the issues.
