9mm continues to be the most widely available 50 years from now. What do you mean my birth certificate expired?Comment

9mm
40 SW
45 ACP
357 Magnum
38 Special
.22LR (I think this perfectly fits a niche market, especially for hunting/plinking)
I would say 10mm would be one round to diminish in use... I would assume most people would either opt for the .357mag or .45acp. and if they needed more power they'd just go for a 44mag...Military Decals, Apparel, and More

9mm Lugar
40 s/w
45 acp
38 special
.22 LR
9mm Makarov
OK, that last one is weird, I know. The reason it's ubiquitous and cheap is that the Russians and eastern euro's are all moving away from it, but they have billions of rounds warehoused. It'll be cheap and available for years to come.
And, btw, I would never include .357 magnum in my list. It's simply drying up due to so many shooters using .38 special for their target shooting out of their .357's.
.380 has been harder to come by in the past two years as well.Comment

50 years? Directed energy weapons that we probably won't be allowed to have. If firearms are still around there likely will be some kind of caseless ammo with electronic ignition. At least thats what my Popular Mechanics magazine says.

9mm, 38 spl, .357 mag, .45 acp, and .44 mag and most likely the 22LR as well.
But then again like some1 else has said there are many new rounds being introduced and they could easily start to dominate the market so only time will tell, but I doubt the rounds mentioned will go anywhere any time soon.Comment
