Shipping Question PPT

how much does (seller) FFL typically charges for this service ?Have the seller go to a FFL. Have the FFL use a Gun Show DROS form and you fill it out. Have your FFL scan your CA ID/CDL and print the info onto the back of the Gun Show DROS form. Have your FFL put this form into the box and have him ship the firearm to the receiving FFL. The buyers FFL then does a PPT to the buyer. This is a LEGAL PPT. For safe measures I ask the SHIPPING FFL to also include the SELLERs right thumb print.
and does the gun has to be on the "safe list" then ?

that would be the infamous split-PPT. Have heard that CADOJ frowns on it and that it is difficult to find 2 FFLs willing to participate in one.Have the seller go to a FFL. well, since it is being done as a PPT, the handgun would not need to be on the roster, which is the reason to do a split-PPT, so as to allow the handgun to be shipped and still be a PPT. but at that point, the $10 maximum dealer fee for a PPT should be applicable.Jack
Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Like stated above, it is a PPT and the receiving FFL really has no more to do then on a FTF PPT. But, the sellers FFL can charge whatever he wants to do that end of hte PPT and ship the firearm. He is doing a "service" and not a PPT.
I have been told by the CADOJ that this is how to do a PPT from a FFL to another FFL. I called CADOJ on this for a PPT transfer for a BATFE agent that found a old Colt on consignment down south. he BAFTE agent called DOJ and told me so i called CADOJ and they told me the same thing. It is really no different then doing a PPT Gun Show DROS when you don't have access to a computer."Gun control is not about guns, it is about control"

Not a lot of FFL's are comfortable with split PPT's. It would make things a lot easier in terms of the infamous "if only you were in Norcal/Socal" dilemmas in the marketplace.WTS all BNIB: Colt S70 Repro, HK45c, Gen4 G19Comment
