I'm just trying to help the average folk who want to exercise their rights. I can't help ignorant cops who spread FUD and arrest people for it. Up until a few months ago, LVMPD was doing everything short of summary executions to OCers on the strip. That has been corrected, and the rest will be corrected with time.

Forget Open Carry in California, do the Jack Bauer Men Purse "locked container" Carry instead.

        I agree.

But on the side of caution, I would not want to be proned out the 150+ degree Las Vegas strip concrete. LVMPD is not exactly the golden standard for police departments in this country IMHO.

Either way, I conceal carry 99.9% of the time.

The fate of the wounded rest in the hands of the ones who apply the first dressing.

I live in Nevada so I am very familiar with Nevada OC and CCW.

Its Ca. that drives me nuts trying to figure out? We had a retired cop from Socal move to Vegas to work for the Attorney Generals office and he actually told me that OC is illegal in Ca. I guess he never got the memo? lol. I know its hard to keep up on all the laws but you'd think at a minimum being vaguely familiar with OC laws would be a high priority nowadays?

I dont work or live in Ca. and even I know OC is legal there. Its crazy that lots of Ca. cops still dont know about it?

Technically he is correct that OC is illegal, since by every other definition, OC means to openly carry a loaded handgun in a holster. Since you can't carry loaded in CA except in generally rural areas, that would mean that OC is for most intents and purposes, illegal. Our sub-genre of UOC is not synonymous with OC in the other states. Go next door to Arizona and OC an unloaded handgun. You will get laughed out of the state.
