I went to the recent Glendale gunshow and Federal 9mm FMJ was going for $175.95 a case of 1000---this is $8.80 per 50 rds + tax and no charge for credit cards. Not exactly the $105. per case (shipped to my door---no sales tax) I was paying a few years back, but not the crazy prices we have seen lately!

.45 ACP is NEVER EVER EVER in stock at any of the local Walmarts. I guess that's the price I pay for living close to civilization.

I got several hundred rounds of WWB .45ACP at the Milpitas Walmart last week.

Sonoma county walmarts have not had .45acp for 2 years according to their dept manager (taken with grain of salt)

Here in the I.E. I've managed to scrounge about 3K rounds from local Wal-marts over the last 45 days. You just need to call around to your local stores and check in the mornings after they start unloading their trucks.

It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!

I called them (Milpitas and Mountain View) every day for 3 weeks (although not always first thing in the morning) before settling into whenever I happened to be in the area. It's also pretty out of the way for me so during the week I'd have to have a pretty damn good reason to be there.

Clearly i1800collect bought all the .45 Milpitas had last week when I showed within 24 hours of it being in stock and it was all gone.

You arent getting up early enough. I have literally seen local gun dealers in WM buying ammo at 0700... The store shall remain nameless....Kinda funny in a guerilla capitalism sense- walmart comes in, trys to wipe out local retailers with super low prices, local retailers go into walmart and parasitically attach to the walmart logistics chain by buying ALL of the ammo.. Ya gotta love it...

Near as I can tell... ammo prices are still wayyy up. Which is why I bought a bulkpack of reloaded ammo while at a gun show, and also why I've been gearing up to reload my own finally.

Same shopping center, WWB at walmart (.40sw) $30/100. a couple stores down is Big5. WWB at $45/100, and i don't think they were reselling walmart.

(although a few other unnamed stores have been, i think... not naming them since I like them for all other purposes).

I haven't seen 45 ball at Walmarts in 4 states in almost 2 years. It's insane.
