A friend of mine went to Reno Gun Show. He saw the ammo prices WAY down form few months ago.

I've seen Blazer .45 go for $28 for a box of $50. I don't really see the point of buying ammo locally.

9mm WWB was $207/case. RGB was $16.95. Prices were a lot better. This was at both Miwall booths. I didn't check the smaller ammo vendors. Great show at Reno. I'll probably return in November.

I was in Manteaca at Bass Proshop and decided to stop at Wal Mart on the way out. They have the Remington UMC yellow box 250 round in 9mm for $51.97. they also have Federal .22lr 550 round brick for $18.95 and 100 round winchester shotshells for $20.00. I do not know about the rest of you but that is much better than in my area.

Local Gun Shops may raise prices next year. Charge even more than they do now........

I like going to Reno/Carson City/Tahoe area few times a year anyway.....

By the way, as far as ammo goes, there is more just a Reno Show. There are all kinds of vendors out there.

lol, i reload my own so about $8 for 50 45ACP and thats not even trying to be cheap, I can cut that down another $2-3 if I reaaaaalllyyyy tried!

Ammo runs out of state are going to be de rigeur come February. Especially since the new bill (AB2538??) is making its way through the romper room. This is the one that does for popular rifle ammo what AB962 does for handgun ammo.

Reloading is now on my horizon, too.

it's all relative. If you have been shooting for a while you will consider those prices to be astronomical compared to even just 3 years ago.

Honestly if your a serious shooter, there is ZERO reason to not reload.
