Also going to drill and tap the trigger so it will have both pre-travel and overtravel screws like my other one. Should make it shoot pretty good.

            Shop at

Gun Parts and Shooting Accessories. Custom Ruger parts from Volquartsen, B-Square, and Hogue as well as custom built Ruger target pistols and rifles.

Free shipping. Prices comparable to Midway. Slightly better in most cases. I just made an order with them.

Remember that the 1911 grips won't fit on the non 22/45 styles. And if you get the 22/45 you will need the bushings and grip screws to convert it.

I would HIIIGHLY suggest getting a Clark bushing instead of the VQ bushing. Much better fit and crisper trigger and eliminates all creep. It also gets rid of the mag disconnect as a bonus.

I always try to buy something you can't shoot at any range. All the ranges I've been to have those, so I figured why bother? I'm a member and they give me free rental. I ended up buying a phoenix arms hp22 and love it. Rugers are great though, but hold on for the 9mm. What 9mm did you have in mind? I'm shopping for one too. The one I really want is a kel tec p11, but I can find one anywhere here in CA,So I looked at the ruger 9's and in the end decided that I'm going to buy a Masterpiece arms MAC-10 in 9mm. Again something we don't always see at the range

Listen to this man. He knows of what he speaks.

I have one in my Mk. III 22/45 as well. In addition to a better trigger pull, no mag disco means easier disassembly AND drop-free mags! Great way to spend $20.

I'm stuck between the XD9 and the M&P9 right now. I am 100% sure I want to be an even better pistol shot than I am now, and the idea of ~= $20 for 500 was very tempting. It doesn't matter if you like Sigs, S&W, Springfield Armory, or anything, everyone agreed on the same thing: practice!

The more people I talked to about getting *any* .22LR pistol, it came down to the same answer: have it, love it, always take it with me to the range, always inexpensive enough to shoot!

I post my first post here, and it's the exact same response!

I think that Clark bushing sounds mighty tempting, does it completely cut out the need to double-release the magazine during the disassembly?
I want it to be as stock as possible, I want to put money away for the 9mm & ammo, not toys for the new toy
