Most of the time.. cool looking handguns are pretty much worthless and not worth having.

Most of us who have been around a while have suffered the heartbreak of the broomhandle mauser or hsc or the fragile and unreliable but sexy luger.

Modern guns that really suck because they are useless are ones, arguably.. like the desert eagle.. great movie gun.. but one that any really good firearm can make look silly in any way.

Taurus/rossi though.. they have really hit the loser home runs lately. A real trifecta... the worthless and laughable "Judge" seriously.. who would want a 45 colt gun that was throated so badly that you couldn't get 10" groups at 25 yards out of a 1" group cartridge? And all so that you can shoot the worlds weakest shotgun round.. a kids .410 out of it?

Then they come up with the "ranch hand" sure.. if you watched McQueen in "wanted dead or alive" you might lust for such a worthless gun but.. even then.. back then.. if we tried to shoot a '76 or 92 one handed we figured it out.. never mind that the velocity is about the same as a revolver with less shots and you can't aim the darn thing...

Third place is a tie between their 'tracker" series which.. if built well.. could have been a decent firearm but.. well.. isn't.. and the even worse version of the "judge" in rifle/carbine form.. a real joke of a gun that.. like all the others.. looks cool to the unwary. It even has a shield of some sort to get around the problems that real 19th century revolving carbines had.. namely.. either shooting your off hand off or having the BC gap burn the crap out of it.

There are of course other cool looking guns that were horrible but it is hard for me to think of one manufacturer that has as many on their roster at one time as taurus.

I don't know about the other versions but I have a tracker in 357 and its been an accurate and low recoil magnum.....

I have had a Tracker 357 for years now and lots of rounds thru it. Runs great, accurate, and trouble free.Good value in my opinion.

I have heard that the "tracker" in .357 was not near as bad as the 44 mag version. Glad you guys got guns that work for you.;

are you high? desert eagles are great guns if you can afford to buy them. Tell me of another .44mag in an autoloader which is availble? tell me of a .50ae in another autoloader. Just cuz you can't afford these guns does not make them worthless or crappy! In the end, it is a unique and fun gun. The Judge was never ment to be an end all and it is indeed a powerful handgun. If you think a .410 is a weak shell, why don't you put your money where you mouth is a stand in front of one? How about I load weak birdshot into one and you can stand in front of that? have you ever shot a judge or are you going off internet rumor that it can't shoot better then what you have read? Unless you have actually had first hand experience with something, you should really keep your mouth shut cuz your just making everyone else more stupid. Your what makes the internet bad.

one seven deuce.. I have a mini 14 that, with some work.. will now shoot 1" at 50 yards open sights.. they look "kinda" cool but they work..the ak works.. the 1911..well.. all sane people like it and.. it frigging works..

The guns I mentioned look cool but are so close to worthless that only a newbie would own one.

I get the point you were trying to make but I still don't think it makes any sense. With one broad stroke you both defined "cool looking" without fully explaining what it is, and said that most of the guns that fall under the "cool looking" category are worthless. Sorry dude, you lost me with your line of reasoning. Don't make no sense so far as I can see.

eccvets.. nope..sorry.. the desert eagle is pathetic.. a poser gun.. it will only shoot expensive ammo and then only with moderate aplomb.. a good 44 mag revolver will make it look silly while digesting everything you put in the cylinders. It is also HUGE..sorry.. again.. a movie gun.. I guess it is alright if you show it more than shoot it.

Mmmm, no. You are just naming off guns. Not even guns that look similar. It would be one thing if you were to criticize pimp guns, or pocket pistols. At least that would be some kind of definition of appearance. Then I could at least call you out on something tangible. But instead you simply gave me a list of guns that YOU apparently think look cool. Personally no, I don't think any of those pistols looks particularly cool. But even if I did, who cares? I don't call you a noob for eating cheerios when all of us old timers know for a FACT that cocoa pebbles is the most reliable breakfast cereal there is...
