omg thank you for doing this!! i wanted to know exactly a size comparison between the lcp and the glock 27. something tells me to still get the glock 27 for cc but the lcp has always been an interesting option.
Just for size reference here is a LCP, Taurus Slim 709 and a Glock 27.
The LCP is much smaller and half the weight of the Glock. The Taurus is much slimmer than the Glock, but not that much smaller in overall length or height. Sorry for the poor pictures, but my cell was the only camera I had handy...
And for those who hate Taurus, the Slim has been 99.95% reliable out of 450-ish rounds. The only failure was in the first magazine through her.

^^^ This. I always tell looki-lous that it is more accurate than a pocket pistol should be. I've reloaded down to cat sneeze recoil and it still functions perfectly. Dropping the brass at my feet.I just got mine about a week ago. I love it! Carried it the whole time I was back home in AZ.
I thought I would want a pocket holster and not IWB, but even though it's capable of both I find IWB to be more comfortable and practical (and easy to conceal.)
No malfunctions so far, the finish is wearing off the ejection port cover though after about 100 rounds. No big deal.
It is well worth the $289 bucks if you can get one new, if you have to go through PPT expect to pay $400-$500 used.
Also, it is surprisingly accurate for it's size.
I'm just sad when I pocket carry it. Makes the ole P-32 cry to sit in the closet.
JustinFor any questions contact me by email.
Thanks,
Justin

First I'm assuming you are talking about a J Frame style 38 spl, trying to keep it as close to apples to apples.
With the right 380 round you can have approx 10% more ftlb of energy on target than the best 38spl +p round (in my opinion Gold Dot Short Barrel). Plus you get 7 rounds over 5 in most 38 spl revolvers.
Here is my backup to my statement.
With that said, I keep a 45acp and a 12gauge for home defense, not a mouse gun.Comment

Ripped off. It may be a good gun, but the fact that it's ripped off makes it lame. Of course I haven't got a need for a pocket pistol anyway.sigpic

Just did a ppt on a nib LCP for $350, so the California premium is slowly falling for us non-leo folks who have to carry one of our old pistols if we want to carry an unsafe handgun
