Glock Gen 4

I heard from a gun shop retailer that he heard Glock was considering to discontinue Gen 4? Any truth to that??

Are the Gen 4 not selling? How long have they been out?

Did Glock submit them to DOJ to be on the safe list? If so, any time frame on when they will get a decision?

haven't heard anything about that, but I would be careful what a CA dealer would say about a product he can't sell. Why talk up the Gen4, when all you can sell is the older generations?

they just started shipping this year, in limited quanities, and in limited models.

yes they did submit them. DOJ denied them. Glock will need to make a CA-version of the Gen4 if they want to sell them to the public in CA.

Yeah a guy at a shop here in AZ told me that same thing (I started the other thread posted above, before I got my Gen 4.)

He heard it from his distributor and...both had bad information.
Like someone said the RTF (and OD Green color) are being discontinued.
The Gen 4 is an entirely different model.

Some folks confuse the RTF with G4 Glocks. The 4G Glock isn't getting 86'd anytime soon.

I work the range in my dept. I can by all the GEN 4 I want for about 425.00 with 3 magazines. ...... I have seen few problems with them , that WE NEVER had with older Glocks. I am not running to buy any Gen 4 yet. When I see that they are not having any problems I will sell all my Gen 3 and will get several Gen 4. ALl in the same day. But I am not about to do it anytime soon.

And as far as I know there are no plans to put Gen4 on Ca list and Gen3 Glocks will be made and sold.

Glock has released a lighter weight recoil spring for Glock 17's having problems cycling the lower powered ammo like WWB 115gr for example.

Just for information . ALL EUROPEAN 9mm pistols are worked around a typical 123-124 grain round at 1200 FPS + ( STD NATO).
