Yeah, isn't everybody! I'm waiting for the RIA 9mm to be put on the roster. Then we can all wait for the backorder to be over and get what we want for under a grand.

I was trying to show the sides of the factory, slide polish job.

And thanks for the compliments on my 9mm Colt.

It's my range gun and local IDPA match gun.

And it's my first 1911 project.

No, I sent it to the fine folks at "Black-T" in Mississippi.

I just bought a handful of parts, beadblasted it, had it refnished, and had my local gunsmith fit it all together.

All I do is dirty it up.

IS your Colt 9mm commander reliable or does it require tuning now and again extractor springs etc... Since you compete with it I'm sure it must be.
I can see you did some wonderful upgrades but was it reliable from the start? It sure is a nice looking Colt!

Colt 1911 9mm - not on list. I believe Colt just recently came out with something "subcompact" (< 4.25" barrel) in 9mm, but not for California However, the Commander in my post was made in 1951, so it would be C&R eligible.

As for Dinero - it's all in the eye of the beholder. If you look around, you may find something PPT or C&R eligible. They are out there.
