I've held them before but never fired them. They aren't very ergonomic and I can probably shoot better with more conventional handguns. However, I sure want one. They're just plain cool looking. If I had no guns I wouldn't pick this up as my first for home defense but it seems like a fun toy.

Worst case scenario you could always melt it down for scrap metal and recoup a good chunk of the purchase price. The things a beast.

Thanks! Yes it's a Tapco mag w/ rivet

Note that there is no "trigger slap" on the MPA as compared to the other copycats. In fact the triggers on these are great.

Then I realized that I have too many guns and made a change in my buying habit. I'd only buy to fill a specific need that my current guns can't fill adequately. This is great as I'm now satisfied with very few guns.

Ill tell you my experience/why I bought one!
            MPA 9mm
Reasons why I bought and like...

-Growing up watching 80's gangster/action movies when I was a kid the mac/uzi type pistols we're always B.A.! I always wanted one and finally got one for the collection!
-I have HK usp elite, glock, sigs, etc. Guess what one gets the most attention from that is "sweet" to "OMG" is that legal!? "is'nt that thing full auto?" that thing is crazy (from non gun owning friends ) so it is a real crowd favorite
            -It is accurate!
-pre ban 32rd sten mags I have owned and they work with the MPA that just makes it a winner right there
-Real easy to take down and clean
-BUMP FIRREEE AMO WASTING GOODNESS FUN FACTOR!!!

            Cons

            -Heavy
            -not good for ccw stealthness
-Grip is not the most comfortable/ergonomic
-Wish I got the sidecocker so I could add a optic to it because I am not a fan of the stock sights

I have tons of old 32 round sten mags around here. I wanted to warn the guy below that the tapco mag you have in the MPA has a Data Stamp on it just giving you a heads up . :0)

                3. Very accurate! - At least my MPA mini 9mm is. My groupings on the MPA are better than my other 9mm guns. I am sure the weight helps there.

These are 10-rd mags sold by PRK Arms, CGM Firearms, among others. Actually mine can only take 9 rounds

The appearance of a MAC-10 has the ability to scare the sh*t out of someone, especially a bad guy.

but that's fine if he used it to rebuild an original sten mag owned pre-2K.. assuming at least one part (the spring?) can be re-used

I hate to push you further towards spending money if you are disinclined to but you should also know that when it comes to accessories and add-on gear, if AR style weapons have the most choices, the MAC guns probably come in second. Tons of add-ons and upgrade parts for this platform.

I'm not sure where the OP resides but if you are anywhere near SAC you should check out Norse Armory in Woodland. When I was in there last they had two or three on display.
