    Glock 34

So I just put a g34 on layaway and I am having a bit of buyers remorse... can cal guns snap me out of it? Is this gun worth the price? I paid 750 after tax and dros....I am just not entirely sure about the purchase... Any input on the gun itself would be cool, any owners or good unbiased reviews by non glock fan-boy sites...thats all I can seem to find.

    thanks duders

I think 750 may be too much for it. You can get them at the private firearms section for around 500-600. So unless you really need a brand new gun, Id look for a used one here.

It's there already so enjoy it when you get it out of layaway and jail time. Now if you can't get over it, ask if you can have what you put in towards something that's a better deal and you will enjoy. With the tax and DROS not reclaimable you may just want to stick with it.

I have a Glock 35 and love it. The average price of a long slide in CA is $700+, so that's the average. You can always join GSSF to buy a Glock at law enforcement prices even though you're a civilian.

Are you feeling bad for the price? Trust me you'll love your Glock Long Slide.

For all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than to Google it for themselves.

I'm not a Glock lover, but I do really like the Glock 34. The balance is great and the gun is definitely a shooter.

You might have been able to find it cheaper, but regardless you are going to enjoy the gun.

If the price is really bugging you, and you can back out of the deal, then look at the GSSF program. GSSF price of a G34 is $507. Add $35 for GSSF membership plus tax and DROS, and total cost ends up around $620.

That's quite a bit higher than you can get with a GSSF cert. I think G34 and G35 are fine guns and a great choice, but since this isn't a WTS thread I can freely say TOO MUCH $$$$$.

I just asked LC Action the current GSSF price, they said $507 with fixed sights, and that's a brand new gun.

Like SS said with the GSSF cert the G34/35 is $507 plus tax and Dros. The gun is not worth $750 unless you really want one. I bought one with my GSSF cert and shot a couple of matches and didnt like it. Glock might run forever but they feel like cap guns. Obviously it depends on what matches/divisions you are going to shoot but I am going to try my luck with another gun. I have only been shooting for about a year and have not built any gun loyalty.

                          So far:
HK USP 45, Awesome not competitive
SIG 229 40, Best point and shooter, not competitive (Unless you can train for the DA pull)
Glock 34, Boring and highly competitive

I just bought a 1911 and we will see how that goes.

I love my G34. Excellent shooter and balance is perfect.

I bought mine local from Ade's for I believe $615 + tax + DROS. So probably just under $700 after everything.

1st thing I did was change the factory adjustable sights with some Dawson/Heinie sights and couldn't be happier.

You already paid for it, so don't worry about the price.

I would never sell my Glock 34. Very accurate, great ergonomics, reliable, dependable, fast. Many years from now you will forget about the price but the gun will still put a smile on your face.
