Possibly interested in a 5 in gun... if it has any real advantage over my XD with a 5 in barrel...which I don't really carry much anymore...I like it an all...just...well....I carry a 1911 most of the time... perhaps I need to order a holster from TT gunleather for it?

It was/is called a HS2000 prior to the XD. When SA acquired the distribution rights for U.S. sales (It may be North America, I can't recall) they decided to call it XD (Xtreme Duty). It is still called the HS2000 elsewhere.
IIRC, it is made in the same factory where the old Yugo car was made (not very well mind you

Can't really tell the grip size on that picture. But either way, it will be hard to get in CA with any reason enough pricing.Taiwan born, Chinese descent, red white and freaking blue America citizen.

I dont think voting would help. the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia would never allow nice guns. Blue states are never gun friendly
