        Why replace the guide rod?

Stick with the stock guide rod. Why fix something that is not broken? Save your money on ammo

Why do you need a metal guide rod for it? The stock one works just fine. I would get night sights, extended slide release, extended takedown lever, magazine release for a .45/10mm (sticks out extended but only costs about $3 or $4 bucks instead of around $20 for the regular extended mag release) and mag floorplates from GAP Enterprises (www.concealablecontrol.com). That will give your gun all you need.

What kind of texturing is that on the grip and frame?

Texturing is heat stippling and I ground off the finger grooves. Makes it a very comfortable grip, especially for the subcompact guns.

The only change I made to my G26 was adding Trijicon night sights. Everything else is stock and functions perfect.....
Sorry, I also added Pierce grip extensions to a few of my magazines.

i love the pinky rest and the lack of finger grooves allows for a 3 finger grip

Thanks for the compliment. No I don't do that for a living. My hands just never felt right holding the stock grip of a Glock so I took the plunge and stippled the Glock 33 on the bottom first. I was pleased with the results so I did it to a few others as well. I researched a lot before I did it though to find out techniques and what was involved. It is actually pretty easy, but time consuming. If you have patience I would recommend going for it. All you need is blue painters tape, a Dremel with coarse sanding wheel, a $5 soldering iron from Walmart and an Exacto knife.

I wanted to get a metal guide rod because one snapped on me on the rental gun, I dont want that to happen again so id like to get a metal one. I also found many people complaining about theirs doing the same on other forums. I would just like to not worry about it.

I kept all my glocks i have owned. Which is quite a bit stock except sights. They never failed to perform once.
