    Just bought Glock 19!

I'm pretty excited, I just paid for a used Glock 19. Purchased at Turner's in Reseda, I think it was a good deal @ $300. The pistol has some wear on the slide's finish and is dirty inside, but I could care less as long as it shoots after a good scrubbing. From what I read about Glock on this board, I think it was a good purchase. Thanks calgunners!

So who has some 10 rnd mags for cheap right now?

As an aside, I see what some of you guys mean about customer service at Turner's. I've picked up a few things from the Lawndale store and they seem pretty good. But the Reseda location was a different story. They need more guys behind the counter. And the ones they do have shouldn't act like it's an inconvenience for them to take my hard earned money!

I guess I can sympathize with the employees to some extent though. I observed numerous other people with the absolute worst trigger- and muzzle-pointing discipline while filling out my paperwork.

Congrats on the G19. Now the hard parts begins, the wait.

I only have two days to go to pick up mine. I also bought a refurbished G19. The store even let me shoot it prior to buying it, just to make sure I was happy with it and that it function OK. It was dead on accurate.

$300 for a used Glock, even though its a gen 2, is a good deal. Congrats!

                Congrats on your G19.
I have a Gen2 pistol and a Gen3 frame dedicated to shoot .22LR with AA conversion kit.

$300? You did great as that price is a steal for a used Glock as I've seen most prices between $400 to $500 for a used one.

Congrats! As far as your mag inquiry, i'm surprised the the guys at Turner's didn't tell you about the $20 factory Glock mags they have. i bought 5 mags from Turner's at this price.

Great find. My 2nd Gen Glock 19 ran me $425 several months ago but it was immaculate. Since then I've put a decent round count thru her.

Checkout the training section for a "Tactical Pistol" or "Defensive Handgun" course so you'll really know how to use it like a pro. The Glock is ideally designed for such courses. You didn't list where you are from, but I am sure you can find one in your area. If you really want to make a vacation out of it, there are also some great schools out of state. I've attended Front Sight several times and really enjoyed it. More recently I have been taking some courses from a local school here in Sacramento called Stone Cobra Tactical. Enjoyed those courses as well. The difference in your shooting ability before and after a multi-day course is impressive to say the least.

As for mags, you can get some Glock Rebuild Kits from www.44mag.com. Just remember to add 1 California Compliance Breakdown for each hi-capacity magazine in your shopping cart. They only charge $0.99 cents per magazine for this service.

Sounds crazy, but so long as they break them into the core components before shipment, they are considered rebuilt kits and not high-capacity magazines. There is a DOJ letter floating around that says this is legal.

If you could help direct me to that letter, I would certainly appreciate it.

You can get a new one for $460 with a one year GSSF membership. But $300 is a damn good deal.

I used to have it bookmarked, but reloaded my OS and lot the bookmark. You'll have to do some searching on your own. But it's on Calguns.net somewhere, and I am sure Yahoo.com or Google.com would come in handy.
