Inspect the frame for cracks. I was told if you let the recoil buffer go, the frame will be impacted by the slide and the gun will be ruined. Try to due a search on hkpro.com. I’ve seen very good condition P9Ss go for over a grand.

Can you guys give me a idea on what a P9S .45 LNIB/new unfired w/1 mag would be worth. I found one in a local shop, their asking 1650.00 for it. Thanks!

The HK P9S in 45ACP is a desirable pistol (primarily for the collector). As stated the recoil buffer needed to be inspected and replaced or frame damage can occur. The P9 has a very nice SA trigger and is an excellent shooter. However, I would recommend against shooting it a lot, since they have been out of production for some time, parts are difficult to come by and the magazines are really expensive. The P9 was really ahead of it's time, partial polymer frame, decocking lever, roller delayed blowback, true polygonal bore, etc..

I had one years ago and sold it, since I couldn't really shoot it. Spoken as a shooter, not a gun owner....
            Luck favors the prepared.

The original battle plan did not survive initial contact with the enemy.
