I've had excellent success with Lone Wolf and no experience with Storm Lake. LW shipped quickly and the product is well made. I bought a 40-9 barrel and G19 magazine from them to convert my G23 to 9mm.

I have a Lone Wolf 40>9 conversion barrel for the G23 that came with my gun when I bought it from another CGer but I've never used it (previous owner put less than 200 rnds through the gun overall, probably less than half that through the conversion barrel). It's just been sitting in a drawer, so I was thinking about selling it - let me know if you might be interested.

My buddy has a lone wolf and has no issues. He had an efk firedragon before, and no issues with that either, but he left it in the dessert on accident. The lone wolf is the cheapest and seemed to have better accuracy. He said too many people scared him off of the storm lake. I had a storm lake in an xd with no issues though

I have a lone wolf 40 to 9 conversion barrel, and I love it because I don't always want to shoot the 40, but I do have failures to feed with it on occasion. Still fun, but it can be frustrating.

Lone Wolf makes their barrels to tighter tolerances so FTF can happen. You can send it to them and have them loosen things up a bit. I have found most brass cases will FTF and steel cases seem to run better on mine. YMMV.

Storm lake barrels are good if you don't mind haveing to hand fit them...IMHO
LWD are great for the price. You can't go wrong with LWD.

Someone here might have a LW barrel for sale. Any harm buying used? Is it just a matter of switching the barrel and "poof!" you have a 9mm?

Bought a used LW G23 conversion barrel and it works great. I think getting a G23 and G27 plus conversion barrels is the way to go - you basically now have a G23, G19, G27, and G26...

I don't see why there would be an issue. You could come up on a real sweet deal. Especially if the round count is low

I haven't used Lone Wolf or Storm Lake conversion barrels but I have 2 KKM barrels. One is a G27 .40 barrel and the other is a .40 to 9mm KKM barrel for the G27. I have shot several hundred rounds through each without a single problem and they have been very accurate. They are a little more expensive than the others but I think it is worth it. Mine cost $170 each from Glockmeister. You can tell they are high quality barrels just from looking at them. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them though if price is the issue.

You should run 9mm mags for best results. Also, you can consider swapping in a 9mm ejector. I have a G19 upper on a G23 frame, and with the original 40 ejector it functioned fine but the spent shells kicked backwards towards me. Swapping the ejectors sends the shell back out toward the right/back. I haven't tried running the original G23 upper with the 9mm ejector so not sure where it would send the spent shells with that combination.

Thanks for the impetus to list up my Lone Wolf conversion barrel, I decided to sell it, please see the link in my signature.

KKM is good. I've also had very good luck with Storm Lake barrels. Some versions of the Storm Lake do require fitting - this can result in match grade accuracy. I built several non-Glock pistols using Storm Lake, and all were about 2" guns at 25 yards shooting offhand using red dot sights. As soon as I saw that I didn't bother trying them from a rest.

                            All the best,
                            Mike
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?

There is no fitting with the storm lake g23 conversion. It is a drop in barrel.
