IMO, LAGC has a bigger rental selection available and allow a wider range of guns/ammo, but OC is a better environment to shoot at.

Ruger gp100 will not let you down. Two calibers to choose from. And talk about accurate.

Whichever pistol fits your hand, is easy for you to handle, and just feels "right".

For me, this was the Glock 22.

If you can, try out a few and decide which one you like more. Although I don't own any of the M&P series, I have tried both the M&P9 and M&P40 and have liked them.

what really really sucks is that i shoot t he HK USP 40 the best out of every hang gun i have ever used, my buddy owns one. I just cant justify spending close to a grand on a pistol.

yeah yeah rent and shoot rent and shoot.

Once you make your decision, go HERE: http://www.gundirectory.com/ to get reviews and an idea of what other people think of your choice.

For revolvers, you can't go wrong with a .357magnum - you can shoot 357mag and 38specials from the same gun. They're all pretty much good. Just depends on how you want it to look, feel, chamber, etc. after that.

For 9mm, there's all sorts. Everyone seems to rank the CZ-75 as one of the top 9mm pistol to have.

For 45acp, everyone's got an opinion. A lot of people like double stacked. I like 1911 platforms. I got me a Kimber and I don't regret the purchase at all. It was probably the best handgun purchase I ever made in my opinion.
