All 5906's had stainless frames.

Please research that, it's all over the internet. I have a 5906 that has a stainless frame. Pictured. As you can see the 6906's finish doesn't match, it's because the frame is aluminum. There were a small batch of all stainless 6906s and there were plenty of aluminum receiver 5906. Now you know what to look for you'll see them around. Cheers!

You'll likely find the 5906 has a bit better trigger than the M&P9, also.

Now there is an understatement... The M&P trigger can be awesome with an Apex Tactical sear and striker block, but the 5906 is pretty damn good out of the box...

Keep it and buy an M&P IMHO

Excellent full size, steel framed S&W 3rd generation 9mm! What it's worth and what it will sell for is usually two different prices. If you have the original box, paperwork, factory mags will make a difference in the sale price. Does it have the squared or round trigger guard? Hooded rear adj. sights? The more detailed information the better when selling.

On what you've discribed so far, I say $350 to $450 IMHO.

+1, i have bought 2 excellent shape Smiths, one a 910 and the other stainless 5906, both were in excellent almost brand new shape and i bought the 910 for $375 and the 5906 for $400.

You're down south and I'm up north, makes it hard to do. And I'm seriously going to miss it. I sold a nickel plated 469 to a relative and I've missed it from day one. Your offer is very generous, but I will have to pass. I hope someday you'll find a 6906. Cheers!
