CZ75b & Other CZ75 models

I bought a CZ 75b in .40 from Turners about 4 months ago for $399. In the .40 version you get a full-length guide rod and an ambi safety.

This is an old thread, but it describes exactly what I'm looking for - A CZ75b with:

- 9mm
- Firing-pin block safety
- regular manual safety
- safety decocker
- DA and SA

I've seen a few on gunbroker that I'm awaiting a reply on, but nothing yet. My budget for the gun is $300-350. Any help would be highly appreciated.

I just realized that the model I'm looking for is a CZ75bd (d for "decocker") Anybody have a lead on where I might locate one of these for a cheap price? the local gunshop wants $540.

If you really don't like the long DA first trigger pull, then you can always pull the hammer back with your thumb just like with a revolver.

hey i just picked up two 75Bs on Tac and one Std. I ran Blazer through them and had a few stovepipes on both. I remember seeing a thread somewhere out there regarding that some 75Bs dont perform well with Blazer but the search fucntion is poor on CZforums. Anybody here can confirm this?

That's correct, a lot of CZ's tend to have problems with the aluminum-cased Blazer ammo. Give it some time though - as I recall you just recently purchased your CZ's. As you fire them the parts will break in and it will start to run smoother. Also, make sure that the extractor has been removed for cleaning underneath it! I can't stress that one enough...

If you don't like DA, don't buy DAO. If you don't like DA and have a DA/SA gun, it's as simple as locking the slide back, inserting a magazine, and thumbing the slide release. I'm wondering as to how you manage to chamber a round without cocking the hammer?

Yeah - I know a guy with two 75B's, a Tac and a Std, and he has Blazer stovepipes with both!!!

if you chamber a round, and then drop the hammer, then you have a loaded gun with the hammer down. The DA/SA just makes it so whatever way you have it, it will go bang in an emergency.....

I think you should just get one of these...

I have those two as well, an all-black and a green/black; they both run like champs on Blaser 9mm, aluminum or brass cased. (your results may vary)

I also use the factory recoil spring, unlike many CZ owners that have been convinced that they need to "upgrade" to an extra heavy recoil spring.

I took delivery of my first CZ this monday - a CZ-75BD, and it is a thing of beauty. The ergos are amazing.

I think you should just get one of these...

Amen to that. I've got one and love it - it's been modified with a Sprinco recoil system and a Hogue grip for the '75 (if you heat and stretch them, they'll fit)
