Ummm there's a lot. Why don't you search the CA DOJ roster or just troll around the forum a bit?

I just looked that up on the roster and there are no "1911's" except for the 1911 EMP Compact PI9209L / Alloy, Steel. =(

There are a lot of stainless 1911's on the roster, but only 2 really meet your price range. Springfield Armory G.I. or Mil-spec.

For me, finding .45 acp ammo has been like Easter egg hunting...with sub-par results.

Unless you specifically want a military issue replica (Springfield GI), go for the Springfield Mil-spec. It's worth the extra cost. Be carefull though, the GI's are often advertised as "GI Mil-spec". One way to tell the difference is, the slide serrations on the GI are strait up-and-down (see picture above), while the slide serrations on the true Mil-spec are slanted.

Stainless mil-spec runs $750 in my area and the stainless GI is about $670. Plain black GI is $600 but I've heard it can be had for $550ish.
