    Sig2022

I'm in the market for a first handgun, and was debating between the XD40 and G23 for a while, but for reloading purposes I chose the XD40. Until I went to the store and saw a SigPro2022 in 9mm. Loved the weight and feel of the gun, and found out it came in .40S&W, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Anyone know of a website that has it online for a good price? Budsguns has one listed for a while ago at $454, but not with 10 round mags. Anyways, anyone got a point in the right direction for me?

I have 2 in 9mm and one in .40, great guns and built like tanks. I got mine from both TGS and Buds. You might want to check with sigforum.com or gunbroker and the like for slightly used ones.

JT- Let me guess, you were River City? I was just there and shocked to see a brand new SP2022 in the display case.

I like the looks of them and considered buying it just on that alone. But, I really dont need anymore 9mm pistols. Also- Sig did discontinue the SP2022 and I believe replaced it with the P250.

Finding a brand new one, regardless of caliber is going to be hard.

I was! lol. The people there are nice and they are cheaper than Just Guns. Anyways, I wanted the pistol, but want my first handgun in .40S&W because I can reload it for cheaper than factory, which I can't with 9mm.

Is the P250 polymer framed and in the same price range? If not I guess I'll look a little bit while I keep saving, and move on if I can't find one.
Arg, it's double action only. At that point I might as well get myself an XD40.

Go talk to Pat Graves at Cordova Shooting Center, he will order one for you. He has some of the best prices in town on guns. Also perhaps call up Tactical Defense Survival.

            Tactical Defense Survival...Where are they?

I called up Cordova, they told me they can't get the 2022 in .40 because they discontinued that caliber, but they can get 9mm all day. Shame. Might have to buy used

Alright, I'll give them a call too. Really disappointing to hear about this awesome gun that isn't available.

JT- The P250 is not out for purchase in CA yet.

I am not an XD guy, but if thats what works for you, go for it.

Look for a used P228, I went that route and I love mine

There is one in our classifieds for $550, 9mm with 4 mags and a holster. I paid that much just for the pistol last year

The p228 only comes in 9mm right? On that level I would go with the p229. An option, if I find one cheap enough

oh sorry about that didn't see you were after a .40 S&W. Yes the P228 is 9mm only.

I happen to like the XD's, I shoot them well for some reason. Might be getting one in my future if work comes through

Well, Sig didn't exactly discontinue the 2022.. just that the 250 is their polymer baby here. They don't really market it here.. which is a shame cause its a great gun. There'll be plenty of supply of em though.. seeing how the French have a contract with this gun until... ofcourse, 2022.
