Nearing 40,000 rounds through my G23. No problems here.

Sounds to me like it's an operator issue, like the OP's thumb is hitting the slide stop and causing the slide to lock open early.

I'd have to watch you shoot and see your grip to tell for certain.

I have never seen a semi auto that I couldn't make malfunction just by grip on it.

I'm going to install the new wolf mag springs and take to the range. I'll also bring a new guide rod and recoil spring. If that doesn't do it I'll change the slide stop and spring. If there's still a problem after that, I'll send it to Glock.

It will be the end of the week before I have all the parts so I'll post my results ASAP. Thanks for all the ideas!

          Glock 23 feed problem fixed

Finally had a chance to get my parts installed and go to the range. I upgraded my Glock factory magazine springs with Wolf HP springs and no more feed problems. Then I added a Lone Wolf .40 barrel and a wolf metal guide rod. All work without problems with 4 different brand of ammo FMJ and HP.

Thanks to all who provided input and suggestions!

I got into the thread a bit late, but my suggestion was replacement mag springs. Poor grip leads to different problems, failure to lock is almost always magazine related. Glad you got it fixed.
