What are the current prices on BRAND NAME 9mm FMJ ammunition these days?

Saw 5 boxes at the local WalMart for $9.97 each yesterday.

Just to be clear, they were Remington (I think) and they were 50 round boxes.
Thats about as cheap as it gets.

At recent Cow Palace show:

Reloads - 75.95 for 500, Miwall Brand
Tula/Wolf - 8.95
PMC - 10.95
Federal - 10.95
WWB bulk pack - 21 or so at Walmart, 24 at Cow Palace Show.

So a decent brand of ammo a 50 round box is 10-12 is about normal? How about a better stuff. Say any US brand of JHP ammo in boxes of 50? Same question on the 38 spl?

For Brassed cased FMJ, yup. Usually stores kick in 10% - 20% more than at gun show or online. Only place that is cheap if you can find it is, Walmart.

How have the ammo rushes been at the recent gunshows? Still crazy like they were before? Haven't been to that last few shows cuz it was just nuts and could get the stuff online for the same or better prices.

It's not the obama post election rush. Lines from 9am - 1pm on first day, but it's like 5 - 10 minutes wait. More orderly since AB962 passed. All pistol ammo including .22lr behind the tables. Have to stand on line to one of several cashiers handling pistol ammo sales. Still plenty of factory ammo left on 2nd day of show, but most of the cheap Miwall brand reloads for 9mm, .45 and 357 were gone by 1st day.

Walmart sells Federal and Blazer Brass 9mm 50rds for $9.97 + tax.

No one beats Walmart prices. Local gun shops are the worst.

I just ordered 1000 rounds of 9mm from them. If I knew Miwall reloads were $75.95 I would have gone to the Cow Palace Gun Show. Rmammo sells 1000 rounds for $169.99 + 22 for shipping it comes out to 191.00 for ammo. I jumped on the deal because I cant find 9mm locally and if I do it is just a few boxes at high prices.

I might have to find some time and travel down to the Vallejo gun show this weekend.
