    Glock 19 or 23?

Alright guys I know this has been beaten to death on just about every forum there is but I want the opinion of fellow calgunners. I'm looking for a CCW pistol. I already have a glock 17 and was entertaining the thought of putting a 40 cal in the stable. After shooting my brothers glock 22 the recoil wasn't bad at all but I'm sure theres a big difference in the 23/19 frame size guns. I'm having a hard time deciding. At the same I already have a glock 17 and having to stock less ammo might be nice and I will be leaving the pistol with the lady while I'm off at basic after this school semester hopefully. Feel free to pitch in and share your thoughts.

If you have big hands I dont recommend the 23.

        For CCW, 23 handsdown.

        This should help you decide

The fate of the wounded rest in the hands of the ones who apply the first dressing.

you can look at it by cal and see what you prefer or what situation/setting you will be mostly in too.

I held a glock 23 the other day "my buddies" and I have shot a glock 19. I have medium sized hands and really don't like where my pink sits or lack of place for it to sit. When I shoot the 19 it feels like I really have to cram my hand on there but thats a sacrifice I'm willing to take. It will be for every day CCW but energy is only transfered in hits not misses another reason I'm thinking of staying with a 9mm for a more compact gun... not sure though!

that's what I thought. That's why I'm confused by this:

It sounded like he didn't like the way the 19 felt, which would also apply to the 23.

Maybe I'm just reading it wrong but when he said he wanted to stay with the 9mm for a more compacted gun I thought he was saying the 19 was more compact. I haven't heard many complaints of the 19 being too crammed for medium sized hands up until now.

I was saying basically that I have shot a glock 19 but only held a glock 23, I know both grips are the same. Also I said I was thinking of sticking with 9mm in the more compact category not saying the 19 is more compact than the 23. I'm about half and half right now, I guess it's time to have a range session with my buddy and see how the G23 shoots.

Just go shoot with both and see what you like better.

I went out to see which I liked better a G19 or G23, I decided on an XD 40 5".
You think you know, but you have no idea.
