you can call it an automatic pistol you can get it shipped to an FFL if it has no Flash Hider and a pinned 10 round or less mag and its only semi-automatic. for a Face to Face transfer the person would have to had it before the Assault Weapons Ban in January 1, 2000 and you may not keep any high capacity mags from that person

It can be both a pistol or carbine. You can buy one(a pistol) ftf ppt if it does not have a threaded barrel(the cobray pm-11 doesn't have a threaded barrel and I have seen them for sale before).I don't think you can have it shipped to your ffl cause it is not on the approved handgun list but I could be wrong.

Good luck finding one.Just keep your eyes open, they pop up once in awhile. In all honesty you don't really want one unless it is for the cool factor. They shoot like crap IMO.

Let you in on a little secret....well not really a secret.

The guys over at bright spot have submitted a Mac Clone for the Cal drop test...still waiting on results.

I say mac clone because I think Cobray is not doing them ,but others have poped up.

I was informed about these also. It's funny because I heard that the manufacturer had a working magazine disconnect before the end of the year but did not submit the pistol in time. Now they have to also add a loaded chamber indicator. Can't wait.

The original Ingram Model M-11 was .380 Auto. In the 70's Military Armament Corporation bought the rights and the Ingram Modlel M-10 and M-11 became known as the MAC 10 and MAC 11 respectively. IIRC Around the mid-80's Cobray introduced the 9mm version of the MAC 11.
