Ok stupid question

There's a cool one made by Russians and called Nosorog (Rhinoceros) AEK906. You can take a look here http://www.securityarms.com/20010315.../2100/2156.htm The interesting thing about this is that the barrel opposes the lower chamber of the cylinder: it supposedly gives you better balance and lesser recoil moment.

Wanted to buy this one for a while but never had a chance to find it anywhere :-(

I have a convertible Blackhawk, and recoil in 9mm is a bit 'snappier' than in 38Spl. For both my Blackhawk and GP100, 38Spl loads are pretty tame.

Maybe start out in a .22LR revolver and work up to 38Spl?

Thats pretty much what im thinking. The 22 may not stop someone but I bet it woudl make him think twice. i already got her trained in running upstairs grabbing a gun locking the door and hitting the panic buttons. then i told her if it comes to that fire through the door. Ill gladly replace a door frame drywall

I have a taurus 627 tracker in 357/38sp. 4 inch ported barrel, stainless steel revolver. It seems to have the least amount of recoil of all my others. It has a soft grip, weight of about 40oz empty,very well balanced and the ported barrel seems to take most of the kick out.See if you can borrow or rent one . Make sure and get light loads at first.It might just be what you are looking for. Good luck and don't give up or settle.

Get some wadcutters, They are light target loads for practice and save the full loads for social work. Wadcutters are under appreciated. They look weird because there is no bullet protruding, but are super accurate and punch paper like a hand punch, Nice round holes that can be scored from a distance.

Plus, assuming a K frame even with a snub barrel, the recoil isn't going to be much more than a .22 Mag and with a lot less bark. Very, very, very good rounds to learn with.

Ruger GP100 w/4" barrel has very little recoil when using 38 spl. It's a little heavy and that is one reason why. Use some light load wad cutters for practice and 357mag for self defense.

Well i talked to my dad and he is gonna bring me a few of his revolvers to try out with her in a few weeks.
