I have only used the Wilson.
Wow, super quality and flawless function from the first round!
It's the only mag I ever bought that came with a Owner's Manual.

I have seen 15 round magazines. The M1911 works with extended mags because they attach on the top edge of the mag, not at the bottom. They made huge long mags for the Pilots to shoot at other planes in WW1 before guns were common on Airplanes.

I use Wilson Combat mags in all of my 1911 .45s except my bullseye gun. I've used Mec-Gar mags in the bullseye gun since it was built, and they work, so I've stuck with 'em.

hey guys a problem: with 8 rounds these novak mags dont feed right in my new para ordnance until there are 7 rounds in the magazine, anyone have this problem?

                - its sticky or wont feed fully with 8 but the same mag with 7 works fine??

Since this was revived, I have a question. I have a CM mag (not the power mag), a WC 47d, and 3 standard mags that came with my SA Milspec. They all work great with my 1911.

Last week, I met with Legasat at a range. He let me shoot his DW P7 as I'm considering getting one. The slide would not lock back on the last shot with my stock mags and the CM mag. No problem with the WC.

Legasat has CM Power Mags and they also were no problem. He said the mags that came with the DW wouldn't let the slide lock back either.

So, does anyone have any explanation as I really would like to know why the problems.

The Novak/ACT magazines that came with my Tactical are extremely reliable. Cant go wrong with Wilson Combat though.

Chip McCormick have always been 100% reliable. In a steel framed pistol I actually prefer them to a Wilson for their stronger springs.
