Kahr PM9
I would never sell a Colt Mustang because they are a classic .380 and Colt doesn't make them any more. But if you wanted more power in your pocket gun, the Kahr PM9 is about the same size as the Mustang and gives you 9mm. If you had listed a Kahr PM9 on your gun list I would have voted for it instead of the Mustang.Comment

I've shot a Kahr MK9, but only fondled a PM9. Anyone have a comparison between the two on how much more the felt recoil on the polymer version is? It seems I'm always looking for a reason to buy a gun. I think I need help.

For the 4 years that I had a ccw, I have carried the following both with just a t-shirt and or coat
P220
Gov't 1911
P229
P5
640
PPK/s
Never 'printed'. It's what you wear and use for a holster.
The trick that I found for good concealment is to wear an IWB holster (Blade-Tech or Galco Summer) with a pair of pants that are 1 size larger than what you would normally wear and baggy t-shirt.RP1911

Honestly depending on weather/ clothing / build I would choose between the Mustang, G27/23.
The way I see it a mouse gun is a must, for hot weather , or when you dont want to dress around the gun. Just slip it a IWB holster or pocket holster, then on colder days you can easaly conceal a 27 or 23*DISCLAIMER* I probably misspelled alot of things, and i dont care...

I thought I convinced myself to leave the mustang in the safe as an investment. I was almost decided on the G23, G27 and the 640 for summer and for non baggy clothing. That Mustang is just too darn compact making it easy to carry just about any where on the body. The wise man said just find your place

I'm looking into the Kahr MK9 and PM9. I've shot the MK9 and with the all steel construction it's very manageable. I've only fondled the PM9, but will certainly look into those. As a mouse gun I would like to have a 9mm as a minimum. The wise man said just find your place

Here's a thought.
First decide "how" you intend to carry for CCW and then decide on pistol options.
Many of us have a holster for various weather or social situations.
If it is too uncomfortable to carry...you won't. Not good.
Your CCW gun should be on you most of the time.
Just my random thoughts. Good luck deciding!Comment

any 5 in govt. .... a commander will do.... add a something else you shoot well and maybe the 5 shot J frame for an extra on the ankle or something....
remember you are carrying the gun to fight with...what do you want to bring to the fight...?
I make compromises in dress rather than guns...
I carry TT gunleather almost exclusively...
a 5 shot J frame for a left handed gun... usually in an ankle holster...
and usually a 5 in govt. model.... sometimes a Glock model 20...
big shirts and comfortable pants...
but then again I don't have to look spiffy for clients...well my clients tend to expect me to have numerous pieces of hardware strapped on...

That's true. I've always viewed handguns as, if the first mag full don't stop the fight I will use the remaining rounds for the handgun to fight my way to my shotgun or rifle. For CCW the handgun(s) is/are it and of course the cell phone to dial 911.Here's a thought.

Duh, A little gun for the summertime, your favorite gun for almost every day carry, and the deagle in case you feel like carrying it one day. The 3 gun restriction is one of the most annoying ones, why should it matter which guns I put on permit....Comment
