I said to my self a couple years ago, stop buying guns. At least I keep part of it, I bought only 1911s from that point . I think in the future I will buy only 1911s, no more others.
    Do it yourself.

I only have 2 1911's, but I have a similar breeding problem with Sig's. Everytime I look there's another one around here somewhere.

I also had similar problem with M-1A's. Now I only have 2. One is complete match one with Krieger barrel and McMillan stock, built by a Marine Corps armorer. The other one is Springfield loaded one with accurizing job by myself. They shoot good.

Everytime I see an M-1A for sale, I almost type "I will take it." I should have a program in my computer that won't let me type "I will take it."

I think 1911's are just like a cat. They kind of look similar but the characters are all

          so much different.

A man can never have enough 1911's. I want'em all ( only the good ones which I

wouldn't have problem selling for ANOTHER 1911 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

You should know better than to try and kick the 1911 addiction. Other guns come and go but I've always been enamored with the 1911.

1911's are the only guns that I own multiples of. I look at them like classic cars while the others are viewed as utilitarian vehicles.

✟ In the beginning was the 1911, and the 1911 was THE pistol, and it was good. And behold the Lord said, "Thou shalt not muck with my disciple John's design for it is good and it workith. For John made the 1911, and lo all of his weapons, from the designs which I, the Lord, gave him upon the mountain."✟

The first step is to admit you are powerless over 1911's and that your life has become unmanagable. Then turn your life over to a higher power that can relieve you of the compulsion to buy more 1911's.

The cure is to find another hobby, but it may be worse than collecting firearms...

Three years ago I started motorcycling and have been selling guns ever since to fund trackdays, bikes, and just when I was considering racing, I had a bad crash that knocked some sense into me... and knocked me back into firearms

Really, firearms (and collecting) isn't a bad hobby at all. Economical (because guns hold their values well) and safe... what more can you ask for?

I do this as well. Then I get rid of the ones I think I won't shoot or don't care for as much. Then fast forward a few months/years, I am back to the original number, just different ones. No cure, my friend. A friend of mine is like this with cars. I explain it to myself as experiencing as many new and different guns you can in your lifetime.

I dunno, I've never been much for guns. I mean, sure, we have the usual gun by the door, another near the TV, one in the kitchen, and another in the bedroom...and several others laying around. For the most part though, we keep our home free of guns. We are peace loving folks.

and that is the BEST way to keep the peace

The best part is to build one yourself and see it shoots well.
