Through my long shooting years, I have bought and sold several 1911 type pistols. The one that I kept the longest is the one I bought new in 1981, a Colt Government Model. Since that time, many were bought and sold.
Earlier this year, I decided to sell most of 1911's. So, by the early fall this year, I had only 2 left, the original Colt I had since 1981 and another Colt bullseye pistol I bought last year from another Calgunner.
Now, when I look inside of my safe, I have five 1911's all of sudden and one at the Turners to be picked up in 6 days. How in the world that happened? When I think about it, I bought 2 off brand 1911's from the guys I work with couple of months ago, a Colt Gold Cup from a retired LEO friend last month, and a Springfield from a Calgunner couple of days ago. Now I will have six 1911's in a few days. I cannot imagine how it works out. My problem is that when I see good deals on these guns, I cannot resist. It is a kind sickness I guess. I need a cure.
I should stop buying these guns.
