Did Taurus ever come out with their 9mm 1911?

IonBond is really expensive because it's worth it. Dial in a light crisp trigger then have it IonBonded. It not only holds up to holster wear but you can do your sights and not worry about the bluing coming off.

It's extremely hard and has better lubricity properties than the other finishes. In other words if you build or have a great gun that you'd like to shoot and minimize the wear go Ion Bond. If you have a Glock/XD kind of a gun it might not be worth it. If you have a generic 1911 might not be worth it. If you have a high end 1911 it's worth every penny. I believe Ionbond is thin enough you can do the inside of your barrel but I'd check on that.

I believe there are only two places in the US that does the IonBond coating one of them is in Oregon the other is back east.

The other finishes I'd like to try are Ti Nitrate in black and I am going to do a gun in Cerakote.

I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.
