    Glock front sight knocked off

Well, good thing I have a Crimson Trace as a back up!

What's the email address to Glock?

I want to send in my slide to get them to install their Factory Night Sights. I've been reading/searching info on the NS from Trij, Mepro, TFO, XS, ... and it's a toss up between all of them. I figured, just get the Factory ones and they'll install and warranty it.

Give them a call, leave a message if you have to and be patient. Glock takes good care of their customers.

IMO go with the aftermarket Trijicons with the 3/32 front sight bolt. I do not like the stake on Glock OEM fronts as I have had the white paint around the tritium bulb disolve with cleaning solvent (MPro7).

Go to LC action in San Jose they will install it for free. If yolu call they might have some standard fronts they could slap in there for you.

          Stock sights?

Naw.... I drop XS Big Dot 24/7's on all my guns. Install is easy and they come with all the tools you need to do the job yourself.

The difference is amazing in quick target acquisition. Only thing better would be a Aimpoint or the likes.

Very sorry to hear that happened to you.

I am a big fan of Trijicon sights, but have used Meprolight and XS sights as well. All of them make excellent night sights and I have never had an issue with any of them. Upgrading to night sights, if you don't have them already, is kind of a must. They really help out in low light and no light. I wouldn't run a handgun without them.

I think I'll take the advice and not use the OEM staked on site, seeing as that's what prevented me from abusing my sights in the first place. I've read that for some people, the TruGlo FO tube came loose and had to be re-glued in. So, it's between the XS, Trij, and the Mepros. More research continues.

Do they install for free if you didn't buy from them? I have some Trijicon for my G21 that have just been sitting in their package.

Last time I was in my local gun shop their sight pusher was broken and they couldn't do it. They wouldn't install for free unless I purchased from them. I refuse to take anything to Canyon Sports. So local choices are limited for me.

Do it yourself. I never installed sights before these. Just a little reading, and a few Youtube videos, and I was good to go. I purchased everything I needed to install them for under $10 total, and took me about 20 minutes to complete.

Very nice! I have the AGI Glock Armorer's Course and the Make Your Glocks Rock videos. I'll have to review them. Do the sight sets come with the 3/16 hex wrench or do I have to buy that myself?

So long as you're doing the research right now, don't forget to check out Warren Tactical/Sevigny sights. Love 'em, and if you're going for night sights check out their straight eight setup. Also Ameriglos are solid sights (I have a set of Operators on my G19 which I like because the rears are all black, no white outline to distract during the day).

I finished watching my "Making Glocks Rock" video, it looks pretty simple to install the sights myself. I'll have get my hands on a sight pusher (or a delrin tap/rod). I didn't know that Trijicons made their tritium tubes for AmeriGlo, Heine, Wilson, and a few other companies. Those MMC sights look good and easy to install.

Im not 100% sure..But I think the night sights they use now are better..

My friend has factory night sights on his glock year old glock, (I could be wrong) but I clearly remember it looked as if the white and green filling were exposed and had nothing to protect them from outside elements..

I just custom ordered a Glock 30 SF with factory night sights and got it last weekend... And the Factory Tru Dot sights on it have some clear plastic/glass looking bubble protecting the green and white filling from exposure to anthing.

But the pics on post #9 of the sights that jaybo510 posted are dead sexy!!

OP- I had the exact same problem with my Gock 17- front sight came off.

I like Trijicon and couldnt wait to upgrade. They work great and I am happy.

I am in the Sac. area if that helps at all.

Yes it's part of their deal with Glock. They have "Glock certfied armorer's" onsite and I believe they can do warranty work if it's just a part swap.
