I guess thats kind of the point huh..??

I see lots of threads with people saying would you buy "X" or "Y" gun....or is X better than Y..?? While all the while they already know what the heck they want....its like they are searching for some validation from others.

I say....get what points and aims well for you...what feels good in the hand...or just get whatever the hell you want and have pride in it.

I would say on paper the glock is the best... feature wise. High cap mags, many more calibers to choose from, fool proof safety, lighter, cheaper compared to the high class 1911's...

but like everyone said that doesnt mean anything untill someone gets behind the trigger to decide which they like...

I did however buy a glock without shooting it and I LOVE it way more than my 1911

This thread really shouldnt even come up considering there completely different pistol but hands down the 1911 is a more accurate and in most cases much better fit and finish, glock ofcourse rarely break or jam but have horrible triggers and lack in the accuracy department from the box. 1911 are timeless pistol that will never go out of style.

I have a Glock 21C. Unfortunately, I feel my life has no meaning until a 1911 comes into my life. (I felt the same way about a Springfield Armory MIA, since remedied.)

I dont own a glock....Ive shot them a ton of times though. And... until recently...I hadnt owned a 1911.

I like both guns for what they are.....

I hope though...that more people would just get what "They" want...and not what everyone thinks is best. There is plenty of info...stats...real educated articles on the facts for every firearm out there. Any anonymous person on the net...without knowing their credentials can reccomend anything.

1911's are a pretty gun for sure....and mine has become my favorite pistol....there is a nostalgia in it.

I have more Glock's on my list today than 1911's.....for tactical purposes I'd argue the Glock is better, for pure shooting enjoyment, hard to beat a 1911.
