Used 1911 for 650? Add another $50 and get a brand new Kimber. Anyways, I have both a 1911(Kimber) and a Glock.. Love them both. If I had to pick one, it would be the GLock.

Depending on lighting conditions, the Glock "Olive Drab green" may look like FDE.

Glock's OD isn't really OD--it's a little darker and has more brown in it than other companies' OD. Still, the OD Glocks have a nice look to it, especially when contrasted w/ black highlights like grip tape. I bought my OD G17 just to have something different (everybody and their Mom's have black Glocks). Initially, I didn't really like the color, but it's since really grown on me. Go for it.

It does grow on a person... It's like a mud-green, with more green than brown. I'd get one on my next Glock, as black is very stark by contrast.

but it is true, depends on the lighting. a lot.

How about a mint Glock-34OD. Its been a safe queen since I got it from a friend who needs some financial assistance.

Yep, "OD" is the only non-black frame color available. I like it. Some grip tape for Bam Bam:

                      UH OH!!!

Quick, cancel the order for the TFOs!

I own a set and had to remove them. 1) the front and rear TFO sights are equal-height, which ends up causing my Glock 19 to point low. They do not sell a shorter front sight. 2) The fiber optics in my front and right rear dots have failed, and Tru-Glo's customer service has basically ignored me, not answering the phone and only answering one email so far (with directions to call their phone number). I may have to replace the fiber optics myself or use my credit card's extended warranty to get them fixed/replaced.

I ended up swapping in some Sevigny Carry night sights, with a shorter front post than rear. Would also have bought the Warren Tactical Carry night sights, but decided to splurge this time on the Sevigny model.

ditto on the bold part. I guess i'd agree if glocks fit my hand better...of course, having more bullets when you need them is nice too, i could deal with it not feeling right for a few seconds while i fight for my life....or just carry more magazines for the kimber. whatever, i'm poor and dont own either yet
