Is it just me or has anyone noticed prices on Dan Wesson revolvers going up? I've been trying to find a stainless DW 6" 357 mag in decent shape, but they are hard to find specially in CA. I'm aware that DW does not make revolvers anymore, but did everyone just realized how good they are so nice specimens are up there. Even a used beat up one doubled up in price compared to what was seen 3 years ago.

I don't think that's a nationwide trend. Don't know if they're still there, but Contra Costa had an 8" heavy barreled DW - $550.00. TargetMaster had the same thing for $299.00. Difference? The one at TargetMaster was in the "LE Only" case. Very unscientific I know, but when I was back in New Hampshire a month or so ago I noticed a heck of a price difference between there and here on the "not on roster" handguns. Riley's in Hooksett had a very nice stainless 44 DW for $375.00.GOA Member & SAF Life MemberComment

Maybe the unobtanium factor is the case, but even on gunbroker.com it seems the prices have gone up. Even a DW 22 is getting up there.The wise man said just find your place

I had a Dan Wesson 357 blue that I carried as a security guard while going to school 25+ years ago. I doubt I shot it after I got done with school and eventually sold it for $100. Had a 4" and 2.5" barrel, several grips, speedloaders and some leather.
Now, of course, I regret it and wish I had it back since I now appreicate revolvers more for some reason.bob

What was the asking price? Maybe I'll settle for a blued one. Maybe not, just wouldn't look right with these 3 gals.There was a blued one in the consignment case at Imbert & Smithers the last time I was there (3 weeks ago)
I know where there's a mint (test-fired with one barrel only) blued .357 Pistol Pac, but the guy won't sell.
When I was active duty stationed in Utah I had a chance to buy an excellent condition DW 357 mag stainless for less than $300. I thought it was kind of high. Turner's in West Covina and Buckhorn in Glendora both have a DW Revolver in stock.
I think the price on each was $499.

I think it's because Dan Wesson is putting out such an awesome 1911 people are recognizing the name and figuring they must be great revolvers, look at their pistols! Just my guess, but I'd say name recognition.
