For my small collection of handguns (10) I have for use:
1. 250 rounds of 155 grain Winchester Silvertips in .40 S&W dedicated for home defense usage
2. 500 rounds of of assorted 9mm hollowpoints. (mostly Remington Golden Sabres and Hydra-Shoks)
3. 200 rounds of .38 Special. 75 rounds of .357 Magnum.
4. .22's, Too many, maybe 10K, but not for home defense
For range use, I usually buy as I go with only a small supply at home.
Would you feel adequately supplied? How much do you have?

. This does not include my wife's stuff, nor does it include the significant "backstock" of ammunition or other weapon not generally prepped for easy access.
